Arnie and Mary Diehl/Barrick . What outstanding hosts. So hard to leave. They sent us off with all these with garden fresh vegetables an Indiana map and lots of smiles. We meet all these great folks and have to part ways way too quickly. A big thanks to Richard & Bonnie Tacket for the cookies. 250 beautiful calories each. Truely a fat mans delight!
Also had the pleasure of meeting Pat and 3 cuties coated in red (painting the barn)Cassy (10), Aurora (9) Sedona (4) and Hudson(4). They loved the horses and wagon as Deb showed them around. Jack & Linda Willison. Great folks and great company. Just a great community.
So we harnessed up and took off. Bob and Casey really settled into their job today. Nothing startled or rattled them. Walked good and trotted a lot the first five miles.Stayed on Lacey Rd. most of the day. Lots of up and down hill lots of double line curves. Lots of folks stopped by and talked with us. The ponies did a couple of movies and lots of still pictures. They think they're going to Hollywood. Sure are going to be disappointed when we head south again!
The 1st young man we met was Matt Bender. He stopped because he said, he's nosey. Great guy! Says they are VERY blessed and just asked for prayers for peace around the world. His dad owns a store and he ordered us a pizza to be ready when we got there. And sure enough it was! Thanks so much Matt!! It was great!
We also met Bob Ehredt. He would like some prayers for his wife, Bonnie. She's had some health issues lately and seems to be doing ok, but if we all pray for her...well...you know.
Down the road, Kevin was mowing so his wife, Angie, came out and took pictures of the guys. Kevin's father is having a time with uncontrolled diabetes. He just recently needed to have a leg removed because of complications. He will be staying with Kevin and Angie and try to get everything back on track. Could use lots of prayers.
James Montroy could use some prayer for his knee problems.
Stew and Bonnie Peck met us at the road with a couple of cold diet Cokes (MMMMMMMMMMM). Very nice folks and would love to have some extra prayers for their youngest son, Eric, and his salvation...prayers that are near and dear to our hearts.
Then, after a lonnnnnnnnng day, we met Lisa and Bo. This is where we'll be staying tonight. Great folks...with horses. Helped us get them in (it was late) washed down and settled in for the night.
I have to say...the horses did more than their fair share today. Too many hills and hot sun. But when it got time to get pulled in...they were trotting! Awesome!
That's about it for this day. We sure do enjoy meeting folks. In this economy, and these times, the needs are so great. Just trying to spread some hope. Don't give up. We are living proof that, if you let Him, the Lord will provide all of your needs. Everyday! Just ask and love Him!
Faith! That's what it's all about.
God bless

Hey guys, it is great to follow your blog. I posted a comment before but I don't see it on the page. I'll try again. You have been a great inspiration to us here in Michigan and specifically at Imagine This Church where Roy Atherton is the pastor. He preached on Faith and the video I made of your interview. It was wonderful. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord. I have prayed on cold and rainy days that you would be warm. How are you colds? Our Video guy, Mike, put your video on youtube. If you are not comfortable with that let me know and we will take it off. You can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3Ww9xsINQc&feature=share
Everyday you are such an inspiration. To know you are touching so many lives and doing the Lord's work. You two are such a blessing in today's world.
I read your blog each morning to see that you are OK and to learn what you have accomplished in 24 hours.
I am so glad I got to meet you both briefly. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and bless you for what you have taken on.
I love when people tell you you can't or shouldn't do something and then God just shows the world that He's on the throne and can do what He wants. Praise God. Obedience is better than sacrifice... and you guys are positioned for blessing! Open up the flood gates (of Heaven and blessings...not, you know...rain flood gates) Lord!
Great to hear things are going well.
I'm glad things are going so well for you all!
I've given your name and number to a friend that lives in Ind. Gave her your "route" you've talked about going to see if she is close and can offer you a place to stay.
I've also shared your blog on Face Book!
Safe travels
