Day 16

Hi all!
well, no miles again today. BUT...we were blessed with that brake job we've been in need of.  Lisa called a service place that knows her and the owner himself came out to see.  It turns out we had much greater problems with those brakes than we imagined!  Thank God we stayed and got them all taken care of!  Thanks so much to Lisa and Bo! Lisa hitched us up to her pickup and off her and I went at a whopping 10 mph!  It took most of the day and I am truely sorry that we cost Lisa another day, but she says thats what friends are for.  These guys will be blessed in their lives.  Just like everybody that has helped us along the way!  Thank you all for letting the Lord touch your hearts.
When we were on our way back (25mph!!!) we saw three Amish boys on their way home from school, I guess.  Lisa noticed that their horse was all over the place!  The 2 littler ones were watching us over their shoulders until they turned the corner.  Then all 3 were staring backwards at us!!!  Ha-Ha! It was great!  I hope the horse knew the way home cause big brother was NOT steering them at all!!
So, all are well rested and we'll be on our way in the morning!  Next stop is already set up for us so we will have a nice relaxing day.
OH YEA!!!  I gotta tell you!  Last night, I prayed, Lord...PLEASE let this place have whatever parts they need to fix this.  So, the guy comes in and says, do you want that bad cylinder replaced too?  Cause I have one here!  I don't know why, cause it's so old...but I have one!  I just smiled because I knew EXACTLY why he had one! God is just too awesome!
So, that's it for today.  We'll see you all again tomorrow.  In the meantime, keep praying and believing!
God bless!!

Hi Mark and Deb,

I'm really pleased to see you're underway. I got an E-mail from Lisa (who I met on my 2nd journey). From reading your blog, it sounds like you're off to a great start. The start of your journey sounded like it went a little smoother than mine! If you need anything at all to help you with your journey (advice, money or anything), please let me know right away. E-mail me at and I'll send you my phone number.

In April, my girlfriend Sandy and I are hitching up and heading out on a one year trip aroud the Rockies.

Best advice I can offer to help out right now - Keep a close eye on Bob and Casey's neck and shoulder (for sores), and their feet. I would also rest them one day in four for the next few weeks.

God Bless you and safe trevels,

Bob (the Wagonteamster)
